Glorified on the stage, the screen and just about every sporting arena, tobacco was not at all the “taboo” that it has become today. Athletes seemed none the worse for smoking and endorsing tobacco products and this 1940s advertising sign goes right along with the program. Framed to 28x34, the display features an action baseball illustration with “RED JACKET” just above in bold letters and an “It’s a Hit …” proclamation in an eye-catching red box. While expected wear from previous display is evident, colors and graphic remain brilliant.
