Description

Created by the cartoonist "Norman" for a Boston-based newspaper, these wonderful and historic display pieces appear on 16x21 to 18-1/2 x 21-1/2" sheets of art board. Condition of the pen-and-ink artworks themselves is EX/EX-MT with surrounding wear in the margins due to practical editorial usage and aging. Includes: 1) 1927 "The Last Laugh" with Jack Dempsey, Tex Rickard, Gene Tunney and Uncle Sam. 2)1927 current-events montage including Dempsey/Tom Sharkey/Tunney, plus Charles Lindbergh and cellar scene of the Red Sox and Braves. 3) 1935 current events montage including Babe Ruth on Braves chasing Father Time.
